Villa Del Balbianello is a 18th century villa located in the middle of the beautiful Italian Lake Como, situated on a wooded promontory, which gives you the best view of the Lake. North you can see Bellagio, one of the most famous villages at the lake, South there is Comacina Island, the only Island of Lake Como.

The villa was originally private owned. Now it is owned by the Italian National Trust Fai and has become a museum. You might recognise the Villa from the movies: A Month by the Lake, Casino Royale, and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. One of the palazzo’s most famous spots is the tree arched logia with a view on the lake.

Have you ever dreamt about arriving at your wedding by boat?

It is the only possibility at Villa del Balbianello. Guests have to arrive by boat, at the palazzo’s private dock, down at the lake. Once arrived there is a marvellous path through the wonderful garden going up to the building.

The Villa has a wonderful garden filled with historic statues, ancient trees like Cyprus, palm trees, boxwood, wisteria and flowers in all kind of colours. The villa is only surrounded by the beautiful snowy mountains and clear-blue waters of Lake Como, no neighbours.
